In the shadow of its rock and surrounded by skyscrapers, this town, built by the famous admiral Roger de Lluria, was during the following centuries the favourite destination of the Berber corsairs, events that are reflected today in the “Moros y Cristianos” (Moors and Christians) festivals. This coastal town has enough attractions to keep you busy for a whole day. You can spend the morning visiting the ruins of the beach and the old town, and after lunch you can go for a walk and enjoy the magnificent views from the natural area of the Peñón d’Ifach.
